Default Brake System Overhaul

I am in need of a brake system refresher before spring comes around (can't wait to get back on the bike) and I am asking for some first hand opinions.

My front brake pads need replaced and I was wondering where is the best place to get them and what you recommend for street use.

Is there much benefit to going to stainless braided lines over the factor rubber lines? If so, where can I find them.

I am also looking to replace a few of my mandarin orange fairing decals - one is coming off, another ripped - but struggle to find them. They are titled by "type" and I can't remember/find what color code corresponds to what "type". Thanks for the help guys.

As for the brakes, I've used EBC in all my bikes and quads and they work very well. They are usually around $20-$30 per brake. Most people are fine with the stock rubber hoses, and typically the only people that upgrade are those who do trackdays or stunt. The SS lines give more "feel" and can help give more stopping power.
The decals can be hard to find but a company called Replicals that sells the whole kit http://www.replicals.com/product_inf...roducts_id=316 Otherwise if you want the orange stickers usually only a Honda dealership will have it, unless you get lucky and find some on eBay.

Nice to see another orange bike out there!

Thanks for the tips. Where are you sourcing your EBC pads from? Iron Pony wants almost $75 for for the fronts, both calipers obviously. Seems a little high to me. But that's Iron Pony for you, they are just down the street from me and I never leave there with a smile on my face - I'll say that much.

Anyone have experience with those vinyls? Sure can't beat the price. I am just curious how well they match up to the existing OEM ones. For that price, I would almost consider doing a full fairing respray, maybe add a little more metal flake, and switch over to all vinyl. Hmmmm

Yeah when a dealership charges about $20 per sticker that kit is a pretty good deal.

And I guess $70 isn't a bad price because after looking here its hard to find any for under $30 each, plus shipping. http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/tpl/cm...=4346&limit=50
