blowing fuses on rear aftermarket blinker...need help
I have a 2000 f4 and the person prior to me had done a chop job on the stock undertail and removed the rear blinkers and replaced them with these pieces of crap. I purchased a metal undertail, similar to the one on the 58cycle site off ebay. I wanted to put the new blinkers in place, which came with the kit now though, although I have not done all the work needed to place the undertail. I have friend who is new to riding so I am a little worried about having no rear turn signals with him in our group. Once I placed the new blinkers in place I tested them and they seem to work fine. Well two minutes after that, the dash goes dead with the blinkers as well. I change the 10 amp fuse to get everything running again but now when I signal right it blows the fuse again. All the wiring I did has been checked over an over and there does not seem to be any shorts, touching that could cause this from my small elecrical job. Has anyone else had problems with aftermarket shortie blinkers?
Any ideas...

sounds to me like a grounding issue. no blinkers should require more voltage than the stockers, so the new signals are probably not the problem. but then again maybe there's a problem with a faulty signal. does it only do it when the right or left is used or both sides blow the fuse? this could help isolate the problem to one of the signals.
