I had a similar problem. I was stuck on a narrow street and couldn't get around the traffic. The fan went on at 220, off at 215 for about 15 minutes. After that, it stalled and would not start again. The symptom acted like a dead battery. After vanning the bike back, I 'reconditioned' the battery and haven't had an issue since (haven't been stuck in traffic since). Later that week, I asked a motocycle mechanic why it happened. He explained that, between an inexpensive battery, the electric fan going on and off and a stator not getting a proper charge while standing still in traffic, stalling should be expected. To remedy this, buy a good, more expensive battery and, while standing in traffic, keep the revs up to keep the stator working the way it should. I hope this helps.

BASEtotheFACE: ya bike is running fine now took it up to bout 235-240 degrees and no shut down!! YAYAAAA!!!
How the heck do you get your bike that hot? Ive had mine up to 245 at the track without my fan on. If my fan is working no matter how long the bike stands still or how hard I redline it wont go above 230 F... and thats with distilled water, no added "coolant" not sure if 'coolant' actually helps to cool....
