Honda CBR 600 F4 here. I've been having intermittent speedometer issues. I assumed it would be the speed sensor and went through the finicky job of changing the speed sensor. Thank goodness wifey has little hands or I'd still be at it! Problem not gone away. I did notice though that there's an inline 12V-5V voltage stepdown module right before the speed sensor. So, before I fork out the big-boy bucks and change the speedometer itself, I thought I would change that little unit. But I cannot for the life of me find any reference to it though in my service manual, nor wiring diagrams, and I can't see it in any VSS assembly diagrams either. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Any idea what it's called or where it might be sold?

 

I don't see such a part on any of the diagrams. do you have a picture?
