Angry yet another problem..help

ok well assuming my regulator is whats causin the bike to spaz out, i went on ebay and purchased a regulator from another f3(def has to b aftermarket)..i get a new batt.. go home n turn the bike on..all is well but i have no brake lights, no low beam headlight, and is it normal for the regulator to be REALLY hot just after about 2mins of idle??? oh and yes the fuses are fine.. WAIT!! and...when i put the bike in first, it stalled??? weird?

My stock unit got Really hot until it went out. Then i got the GSXR 1000 swap and it runs only warm even just sitting there for about 10 mins.

Theres more then likely a short somewhere, Check the voltage on the regulator. Make sure it's grounded properly too.

On a 98 fuse #1 is the headlights.

The Regulators on F3's run very hot, which is why they fail so easily.
also if it stalled when you put it in first was the kickstand down, cause you cannot go into gear with the stand down, it will shut the bike off.
If you stand was up check that the sensor is ok and not telling the bike you stand is down when it is not.
