just got new bike 96 f3. former owner removed the fairings to make a street-fighter. he put a new rear tire on ; now here is my question , is a 190 50 zr 17 to big ? and how will it affect the handling ? i have rode dirt bikes for years but this is my first street bike . just want to be safe . thanks

 

thats a really wide tire IMO. the stock size is 170/60/zr17 IIRC. atleast thats what im running.

 

190 on a F3, that will not fit... 180 will fit max and that's even too much... 160 or 170 is the only one's I'd go with

 

160/60 in rear and 120/60 in the front.

I had a 180 on mine and the rim is not wide enough for it so mushrooms and looks really tall and ugly. so i went with factory size

 

I put a 180 on my f3 and have no problems with it

 

i wouldnt really lean aggressive on a 180. the rim isnt wide enough for it. you lose alot of surface area to lean with a 180.
