yes, but the rim isnt wide enough for it, so the tire will deform and your handling will be compromised. a 170 is the largest the f3's rim can safely take.
And i see youre new to the forums, and for future reference, your question has been answered countless times, so a quick search will yield faster results

Cool thanks for the info I'm gonna go with the 180/55 I don't see any issues running on he 5" F3 rim dropping the forks slightly in the tree may be a good idea as we'll I did that on my CRF450.. How much did you drop yours down?

if youre dead set on a 180 look into doing a 5.5" rim conversion. if you plan on doing any serious cornering that 180 on a 5" rim doesnt work well. deforms the tire a bit.

not 100% sure, but i believe either an f4/f4i rim or 900rr rim will work, and you'd probably need to have the hub machined down so the sprockets line up, along with new spacers.

The info is here somewhere "koko tl1000" did it. He put a 900 wheel on a F2 and zx 400 forks on the front. He's in Bulgaria. On a side note. Any of you all remember Bimoto built a 500cc two stroke streetbike called the V-Due. It had a 5 inch wide rear wheel with a 180 tire. Maybe that perticular tire they used was made for a 5 in wheel, maybe, I dont know. All the magazine guys raved about how well it handled.

I have 180/55 zr17 on my rear. Fits fine. Got a solid 3/8-1/2" clearance on my swingarm and I'm a 260lbs rider.
