hi there just a question on my bikes tickover its a 1999 cbr 600 f when its ticking over it ticks over a little uneven and the rpm needle twiches from 1200 revs to 1350 revs and back its got a scorpion exhurst system be gratefull for any information thankyou

 

by "tick over" do you mean when the bike is idling? A little fluctuation is normal. But you may look into cleaning your carbs, syncing your carbs, and checking your valve clearances to help smooth that out. If any of those 3 are out they will definitely make idle aloght rougher.

 

1999 would make it an f4?
as far as your idle twitching, that's due to an uneven idle because of the air/fuel mixtures (usually).

turn your fuel/mixture screws under the carbs(pilot screws i think?) out about one turn (1.5 if jetted) on each carb, and that should solve it.

 

although its quite possible there is more going on here.

is your bike jetted?
whens the last time your carbs were cleaned?
do you have any aftermarket parts besides the exhaust?
how has your bike been treated?
how many miles?
hows the oil/filter?

hi there cheers for replying every one put some fuel cleaner few the tank to clean carbs . its when its irdling . it runs great not had bike long so dont know much about its history is it hard to clean carbs out thankyou
