Default Throttle Position Sensor

I recently found that my throttle position sensor wires have all been cut because they were sitting under the weight of my gas tank. Will the bike still run without it?

Not well (if at all), the tps sends back to the ecu to control ignition/fuel-pump.
That is my understanding. So, I'm infering from that, that it is an essential part
of the chain. I've never actually tried it though, so won't swear to it.

Maybe, meow, IDo, Gotcbr or one of the others will pipe up.
Hope this helps, a little, Ern

Thanks for the input, MadHattr. Any one else know any details? I'm wondering if thats at least part of why my bike hasn't been starting!?

Thanks, Spicy. I'm a little relieved to hear that. I just crimped and heat shrank everything back together. Hopefully this helps with getting her started!

This is a very old thread. If you create a new one you will get better results.
