sounds like a sweet deal but honestly if i was selling a bike and people wanted to take the fairings off and probe around with a multimeter i would tell them to get ****ed. its old, there will be little things wrong here and there but thats the fun part

 

Take a flashlight and look inside the tank for rust spots. Check the oil twice. Once while it's cold before he starts it and again when it's warm. You want to look at the oil's quality when it's gone through the engine a bit.

If he takes the fairings off, look at the backside of the fairings for fiberglass / plastic weld repairs (or like I found one of mine, tissue paper). Pop the electrical connectors at the strator, r/r and starter relay. They're good indicators of electrical issues.

Dunno after that.

 

If you don't buy it I have an near immaculate 98 F3 that's never been dropped or wrecked that I'm thinking of selling. All original, and the charging system works perfectly.
