Well I've had the bike 1998 F3 for a few months now, going backwards and forwards to work etc and as summer is almost here (I live in the Southen Hemesphere), I thought I start to take a look at the damaged tail piece (pics of bike on this posting https://cbrforum.com/m_565744/mpage_.../tm.htm#565744)

I removed the tail piece, but before I start what did the original piece look like?

If anyone has any tip on doing the repair I'm open to suggestions.
