suspension adjustment
is there anyone that is around 180-200lbs on the forum so i can just my suspension the same as you? sometimes on bumpy roads i'm getting a lot of oscillations/feedback from the bumps. Not sure if it is too soft causing it to sink and have the bump but it feels like my compression is too stiff.
F3, right? My front is a bit softer than factory, 3 visable rings on the preload, and 7 clicks out from full in on the rebound.
Couldn't tell you about the rear, I know the spring itself is on 4 I believe and the canister I've never touched.
I'm 6' 204lbs.and my bike handles like it's on rails. I've gone through various front setups and haven't touched it since I got it where it is.

Here are my settings (I'm about 190lbs). These gives me a firm butstill comfortable ride with plenty of feedback, and accurate steering. The bike is mainly used on twisty, bumpy back roads:
Front Preload: two rings showing
Front Rebound: 1/2 turn out from full in
Rear Preload: 4
Rear Rebound & Compression: 1/2 turn out from full in
Woot, my first post!

just go out and ride and adjust your setting a lil bit each time. copying someone elses settings might give you a ok starting point but whats good for one person might feel awful to you. its all about trial and error. also id read up on some suspension articles and get a good idea what each adjustment does and you'll be on the right path

Front forks:
Pre-compression damping: 2 seams or lines showing.
Compression damping: (Th one you could djust with a dime if you had to) One turn out from full hard/all the way in...
Rear suspension:
Rear Spring Preload:
The spanner adjusted to 6...just short of full stiff.
Rebound damping:
One full turn out from full hard.
Compresssion damping:
One full turn out from max.
Get the F4i manual at stephy's site...the controls are the same, though the F4 has more adjustments.
Im about 210, and like my F3 this setting.
Front forks have 10w fork oil.
preload at 3 lines showing
rebound at 1/2 turn out from full stiff (all the eay in)
Rear preload at setting #7
rebound at 1/2 turn out from full stiff
compression at 1/2 turn out from full stiff
BTW bmg velocitythe adjustment on top of the frok is rebound not compression. You cant adjust compression on these forks!
