Suspension Adjustment
What is the best way to get the proper settings for your front forks, and rear suspension? I know I can set it to the defaults and use that, but is there a good way to get it set to my weight, and height? Or is this not even worth messing with? Thanks!
It is very worth messing with. A properly dialed in suspension will enable you to ride faster than if you take the time to do performance or engine mods. I am also curious on how to set up my suspension.I do not know how, this is the my second bike and the first I've owned with adjustable forks and rear shock. I know you need to get in your riding gear and sit on the bike. You may need another person to help you measure and make adjustments. I am sure someone else will post either a link to somewhere that shows you how or explain it. I know that some dealers or shops that are closer to the race tracks and deal with racers or teams frequently sometimes have suspension set up nights where they set it up forcheap. I know I saw on Kawiforums that Attack Kawasaki in California does something like that (I think). I would imagine that other places would too.
One of the better tutorials I found on the net:

Interested in this as well. Seems like my weight around 140 or so geared up the suspension needs to be changed no? I should have someone do this or do it myself i wonder. Its on stock settings right now
Springs should be decent for 140. It's best if you can get 2 buddies to help you. You don't need an "expert" to help with suspension. Once you get sag set, you can do the rest yourself. Ride, adjust, repeat.
Sag and preload same thing right? I dont have a spanner for the rear since i bought the bike used. I think the front is going to be very close to counter clockwise. And the rear is going to be on 1 i believe. 1 is the lowest correct and 8 or wtv the highest?
Stock settings are 3 lines in front and #3 in rear. Preload is used to set the sag which is a measurement of change in height of rider on to rider off.
