Default Stripped....Soon To Be Reborn..

Well I have decided to take the leap and start stripping and rebuilding over the Fall/Winter months. (sorry for some of the bad quality pics)

This is what it started off as:

Size: 67.7 KB
Name: bike.jpg
Views: 778
Size: 86.1 KB

Continued to this:

Ended like this:

Size: 13.3 KB

Going to get the swingarm and frame powder coated satin black along with some other powder coating of select items on the bike. Hopefully if the money is there do a 03-06 600rr or 100rr front fairings. We will see..
Feel free to make any recommendations along the way, I'm open for ideas.

Looking good - how much is the powdercoating going to run you?

The tail section is off of a 03 600rr. The best estimate I have gotten so far on the powder coating is $225 for the Frame and $65 for the Swingarm.

Not bad. Can't wait to see what it will look like. I'd say go for the front end conversion

Im going to do the conversion. If not this year then next. Just have to get all the pieces together. The bike just had so many small things worng with it, then the battery dies on me. So I thought it was best if i just do it all now. If anybody has a stator cover for cheap that would be great...lol.

Been a while since I updated this thread. Finally had the swingarm and frame powdercoated. Painted the forks myself so I wouldn't have to tear them apart. I have some other things that need to be painted, tripple tree, pegs/brackets/foot guards..etc. I will try to remember to take pics and post either tonite or tomorrow nite. Bike is going back together in the next week or two.

Well we are back to it. We started last Saturday and it took about 2hrs to get to a good stopping point. I still have a few things to do. I purchased a new stator cover and I have to piant it black. I have to paint the clutch cover black also. Below are the pics. Enjoy...
