I am currently building a 88 with f2 suspension,900rr 180mm tire and 929 master cylinder and the frame will be painted black the rest will be polished i hope.just need to know what parts to get to build it with the new body work including underneath exhaust. Thanks

Looks like a lot of fun. I was going to do the undertail exhaust on mine, but to make things work it was just going to suck. Plus, I was worried about clearance under the tail and rear tire. If you are doing this much work, you may consider cutting off the stock subframe and mounting one from an rr. That is what I would do if I was going to do the UT exhaust. It will make it much easier to mount the seats, tail, and exhaust including heat shields. You can take a look at my photo gallery for reference, but those are not pics of the completed project, just a fitment of the tail.

I have some ?'s.
First how did you fit the front end was it a direct bolt on or did you have to modify the tree if so did you mod the F2 or F1 tree?
On the rear did you have to swap the entire swingarm or just swap the rim and spacer?
Looks like a great start on a fun project. Keep posting pics as you we love to see someone really go wild when rebuilding and F1

Sorry for taking so long to reply back im a truck driver and its hard to get wireless internet for my laptop.Any ways the answer to your question is the front end is direct bolt on! you just have to get rid off the steel steering stops located in front of the frameon thebottom of the neck or you wont be able to turn. The rearend was a littleharder, first get the f2 swing arm mount cut the same size as the hurricane swing arm. you are goingto loose one of the bearings that has two of them on one side and you willlooseboth bearing seals. The rim was cbr 900rr rim with a180mm tire.I cut the sprocket carrier studs down flat until it was even with the sprocket bolt and the materal around the bearing and you will loose the bearing seal because that area that hold the seal will be gone.you will have to shave down the left axle spacer and leave the right one alone. as for the right side of the wheel you will have to grind away materal from the brake brake make sure you do only the swing arm side and not the wheel side or the brake caliber wont fit .Just grind little a time and you should be fine.I useaair grinder with a four inch carbon cutting disk to do the work.
Hope this helps.
