Starter button problems! help plz
My starter button cuts on/off sometimes an now its dead [:@], anyone got any ideas, i tested all the Voltage off teh button all read .007 , And i have no clue how to fix, just got new plugs so i hope if will run after i fix the start button. Thanks Guys
Take your throttle side perch apart and check for corrosion or dirt/grime. Also, before removing everything, check the perch and see where anything may have gotten inside.
The starter button is a contact switch so if your troubleshooting says the starter is fine then my ultimate guess if you have some sort of build-up in there - clean it out with WD-40 or contact cleaner.
Bike take a spill recently? Good luck, let us know what you find.

On 2 F3's that I've owned, I found that the Orange Kill switch contacts become corroded. It's actually easy to dissasemble the switch and clean the contacts. There's a fair amount of lubrication that Honda puts in there. After 10 years or so it acts more like an insulator than a lubricant. Not sure if this is your problem, but 2 of the 3 I've owned have needed it to be cleaned.
thanks that was it and it was easy thanks guys , o and it works better when the battery is charged to lol , thanks the bike is almost done will keep everyone posted watch for the BIG post one day soon almost got her running too. thanks again.
