Seafoam Use

The only thing you need to do to the oil is use an OEM filter.These bikes have good oil flow.

As for Seafoam,I like it.But only use it periodically if the bike sits.

OEM oil filters have more paper than all the others.

You didnt even take a look at that article did you?
The pure one had 110 square inches where the OEM only had 94

I usually use seafoam to help get the carbon buildup off of the valves. Direct through the carbs with engine running, pour it in until the motor dies/floods out. Let it sit for about half an hour. The start it up. It will smoke ALOT. Keep the RPM up until it cleans out.

northern if you want to do this in your car, you can pull the vacuum hose off of your master cylinder and pour it in through there. Just dump it in until the engine stalls. Let it sit then start her up.

Your neighbors will hate you though. The smoke is thick and smelly.

Believe all you want from bogus write-ups like that.My mechanic is an AMA SS &SB mechanic(or DMG,depending on one's view) and we cut open several of those ourselves and found that the OEMs use more paper than all others (Fram,K&N,Purolator etc etc).
