Default running rough at start up...

Well its startin to get cold here...and it seems like when I let the bike sit overnight its a bitch to start. I mean its in a garage so its not COLD...and the choke does not seem to help all that much. It takes a little bit of cranking and then it will finally start...and when I rev it it kinda boggs out...I am gonna guess I am a little lean on the idle screws...anyone?

dude , its a honda . Out of the 5 honda bikes and quads i have owned , they have all been cold natured . Just play with your choke and throttle position to get the best initial start , and give it a min or so before you start reving it . Also , a tune up may be in store if it has been a while since it was last done . Good Luck

dirty choke jets??...

lol...whenever i see a thread about not startin or something like that, it always sounds like a dirty carb problem to me...maybe it is just cold blooded. if you get it started in warmer weather with no problem i wouldnt worry about it..especially if you can start it like it is as well.

sounds good guys...these little things just worry me. It has been a while sense I have owned a honda....hell I remember when I had my ol 400ex (quad) and removed the choke...people called me nuts. Ha, oh yeah...the guy who I bought it from said he did his own jetting...my roommate says when I pass him on the road haulin *** my bike has a "smell" to it. I am thinking its a tad rich on the top end...seeing as how the end of the pipe is black. ****...itsa carb bike, should I just chill out and not worry so much?
