I wonder if there’s anyone that can help me with the reg / rel well the long and short of it is , my bikes been cutting out when hot and seems like I’ve seen a very small bit of smoke from somewhere? ( under tank seat). Well took seat off fairings off but could not find any thing wrong? But I started the bike up and I’ve noticed that the reg / rel next to seat got very hot and bike was only running for about 3/4 minutes could this be my problem?

 

By it's nature, the R/R does get hot. It's not uncommon for the wiring connectors that run over to the Stator to become corroded and melt the connector. Trace the wires from the Stator to the RR and inspect the connectors.
