Default whats under the leftside of my seat

hello all, i have a 01 f4i that i just bought about a month ago

just recently the left side of my seat has been getting really hot, to the point where it burns, anyways should i be concerned about this? or is it normal on these bikes, i've heard of hondas running hot b4. Also just as a precaution what is considered overheating on the temperature gauge, when im running around it usually stays between 170 and 190, i've reached 220s waiting at a really long stop light,

thanks!

The temps you posted are about normal i run from 150-170 while riding, and when stopped its around 219/223. As for you burning or gettin real hot im not sure about that. My seat gets doesnt really get hot but the sides do. I have an 06 and they told me it running hot while sitting is normal. (Dealers by they)

try putting some heat reflective tape on the inside of where its getting hot. this might help. i know on my 1krr, when i removed the factory exhaust and put on my arata s/o, everyone uses this to keep the heat away from the undertail section.
