Progress & Problems
Ok guys so here's whats going on. So far after getting my cbr 600 f3 I've ordered a manual and a ton of parts. A lot of the parts have arrived, but it's been over two weeks and no sign of the manual. I was trying to wait for it to arrive before i started diving into the bike but I got impatient. A couple days ago I washed the bike then let it dry in the sun and let it sit in the garage as well for two days. I was taking the header pipe off so I flushed the radiator before removing it, then proceeded to take the header pipe off to have the mid pipe cut off. after I got the mid pipe cut off I installed my danmoto jisu exhaust and remounted the radiator and filled it with distilled water or at least i think i filled it. I emptied half a gallon into the radiator but it wasnt filling up which i thought was strange but I'm a noob so I wasn't sure. anyway when I got everything together I started the bike up and white smoke started to come from under the engine it looked like it was coming off of the header but I couldn't see where it would be coming from. The bike started to die out and got to the point where it just wouldn't start anymore. I think it may be that there was just a straight pipe on it before and the previous owner may have adjusted the fuel\air screws to compensate for that. sorry for the lengthy write up, just wanted to see what you guys thought.

Did the bike run with the previous pipe/setup? Was the previous pipe a straight through setup? Could be mixture screws, jets, sitting for some time, etc. F3 settings are 1 1/2 turns out from all the way in. Anything more usually makes it run rich.
try to put antifreeze/coolant in your motor. Distilled water only will not last long and could. help to mess up your water pump and internal passages.
