PROBLEMS WITH DATATOOL ALARM
got to take bike out other day drove home, then went to taake bike out for drive when i could not get the alarm to turn off was not sounding but would not turn off so i could start bike, in the end had to call out breakdown recovery to take bike back, before loading bike on trailer he tried the key fob against a machine he had that tested the strenth of the remote some times it hit good signal but it would not deactivate the alarm on the bike, have ordered a new fob but am now wondering if its the unit on the bike, does anyone know if this is a common problem with datatool or is it a easy thing to fix, i know i have to set the new fob to the alarm on the bike but would love a few tips if anyone has had this problem with there alarm.............
i have no clue but most alarms are useless anyways people just pick the bikes up and throw them in a truck or van and drive off anyways i would just take it out all together and be done with it, if your area supports lo jack then i would install that at least you might get your bike back if it is stolen.
