Hello,

I am having problems disabling the alarm on my CBR 600 98, the alarm has been on it since i bought the bike.

it seems like the key fob can not be detected. i have tried the spare and it is not working either. the light comes on with both fobs but there is no beeping or any signs that it is doing anything. The alarm is still sounding if i turn the key.

anyone got any information that could help?

of how hard is it to completely take the alarm off?

depends if you want to re-use the alarm or just dump it. Taking the alarm off is the easy part, but will require the alarm to be going off the whole time. shutting a datatool up is the hard part.

 

Have you tried resynching the fobs? I had this exact problem with mine and it fixed it in seconds.

For most datatools I think the process is to hold down both buttons for a few seconds until it beeps a few times, then try disarming the alarm.
