Default Not starting

Hi all, I'm trying to start my bike whichI do at leastonce a week until I take my MSF class and can actually ride it. Today I tried to start it and it cranked a little bit, but then the starter would just start clicking, is this a starter or a battery issue and is it possible to kick start a bike like you would a car on a hill or something?

Thanks,
Jeff

The battery was probably too low. Try charging the battery. and yes, you should be able to start the bike on a hill like you would with a car.

Why are you starting it if you aren't riding?

Mostly because I can't help myself. It's rough.

Can't say that I blame you.

The bike will start on a hill, I've done it a lot in the past.

If you are going to start it just for the sake of hearing the engine be sure to run it for a little while so that the engine recharges the battery enough each time.

Yea, my bike was doing the same thing. Would be able to start then after a few times it just wouldnt be able to start. I got a trickle charger and it helps a lot. I heard that the headlight was draining the battery. But i need to figure all that out cause my bike still is dying. But hope everything works out for you

Thanks, yeah I charged it with an all purpose charger and it started right up better than ever, it was a huge pain to get to the battery and pull it out and put everything back together though.
