Default No Spark

I do not get spark on the plugs unless I take one of them out and touch the end of them to the frame. What could this be? I'm thinking it could be a possible ground issue but I'm not sure. Maybe also a short? The wires look ok though. If anybody has also had this problem, please post.

Does it spark if you touch the plug to the engine somewhere?

It sounds like they're working like they should be.
They should not spark unless they are grounded.

Checking for spark without them grounded could fry your ignition too!

I guess the real questions are:

How do you know youre not getting spark?
Why are you checking for spark? Im guessing the bike doesnt run.
What else have you checked and how?
Does it even crank over?

I fixed the problem! The previous owner had the spark plug wires in the wrong cylinders. I looked at the wiring diagram and hooked them up to the right ones. It works great now!
