No Spark...
Hey, i tried to search the forum quick but im working so i dont have much time. Basically i just bought a bike it started and ran fine just a day or 2 ago. I just went to start it yesterday and no luck... My buddy is working on my bike for me at the moment and just told me there is no spark. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas where to go from there? im lost and really tight on money at the moment as well... if you need more info let me know and ill find out!
Turns out they think it was vapor locked... What happened before is when i got the bike it was basically empty in the gas tank like to the point it wouldnt even start on res... My question now is would that cause it to have no spark and not start after filling her up with gas?
will post up more info as i get it.

Depends on what 'no spark' means. Generally when someone says they have 'no spark' they actually tested the plugs, usually by pulling them and grounding them on the frame to check for spark.
Have your friends gotten the bike to start? Have they checked for spark like I said? Need more info

well i just got a txt that said they have the bike running and seems to be starting right back up with no problem... not too sure i guess what was wrong. now they say that the chain is loose and something about the back shock so i dont know... just know my luck sucks always
Depends on what they mean bout the rear shock.
Loose chain is nada. Chain tensioners on the swingarm will take out the slack unless the chain is past the wear point. New chain & sprockets (if you change the chain, you should also replace the sprockets) maybe $100-$150 if you DIY and have the tools.
Your first bike huh? Repeat after Timone

You never posted the situation your bike was in before you got it. But it sounds like it just needs the new owner to show it some TLC. So far everything sounds like normal minor new owner transition stuff

basically the situation of the bike when i got it was rough lol kid i got it from just got rid of it because he did a wheelie getting on the highway past a cop (stupid) had no license no insurance not registered... now it is insured registered i got permit but yea im a newb bike owner... looks like it was downed a couple times tho. the plastics are kinda beat up a bit which sucks so prolly over the winter ill end up buying all new plastic. altho i really like my paint scheme... btw hakuna matata... DOH! i posted under the new owners section with pics of my bike... i cant access the pics now because work blocked facebook tho but they are under there... title of my post was whats up
