Please don"t take this the wrong way. How was the test performed to determine that the plugs are not firing. Someone may not realize that the threaded portion of the plug must be in contact with the engine block with good contact. Otherwise there is no ground and you will not get a spark. If you are aware of this, then forgive me, but I just want to make sure.[&:]

 

test by grounded screw driver to open wire. IDK if this iswrongeither, whats the easist why to test?

 

Remove a plug from the engine, reattach the plug wire. Make sure the body of the plug has good contact with either the frame or the engine. Turn the engine over with the starter and observe the gap for a spark. Make sure you"re not holding onto the plug while doing this or you could be in for a nasty zap. This is not a guarantee that the plugs are firing for sure. When the plugs are in the engine and the cylinder is under pressure during compression, it"s more difficult for the plugs to fire. If you"re gettinga really good spark, then you"re probably OK. If you can check each one of them, I would do so to verify they"re all working. You don"t have to turn then engine over a whole lot to be able to see the spark. If you don't see it readily, then I start suspecting plugs, wires, coils and things like that.

OK i took an extra plug that i had and pulled the wires out and tryed it on nothing no spark at all. all the way across. So i guess theres only one part left to swap out and im still waiting for it man that shipping takes years.[:@]

If you have access to a meter, there is a check you can to for the Ignition Pulse Generator. Disconnect the ignition control module 16p connector. Measure the resistance between the White/Yellow and Yellow wire. It should measure between 460-580 ohms (no power, key off). If it's out of spec, there is another place to make the same check. There is an intermediate 2p red connector located between the vent tubes from the fuel tank and the battery. Unplug that connector and check for the same 460-580 ohms. If the values you read are not within those ranges, then the pulse generator is bad. If you measure within spec at the 2 pin red connector, but not at the 16p connector at the ICM, then it's probably a bad connection. It's a simple and easy check to do, however you do need a meter.

I'm fairly certain that the shop manual is available for download here on the forum. It has some excellent checks to do for no spark at all like you're getting. I hope your part comes in soon.
