I have used bike bandit for a long time. Parts seem to priced pretty decent. A brand new fuel pump will give you good piece of mind while you are riding down the road and it is worth every penny.

I've been curious about this, too. Just found the petcock this evening. I can't see in there very well, so: Does the arrow point 'away' from the end of the petcock you hand on to, or does it point 'toward' it? IOW, the 'handle' on my bike's petcock is down. Is that on or reserve? Thanks.

Never mind. Just found threads saying that my F4 doesn't have 'reserve.' Just 'on,' 'off,' and 'on.' Hope my fuel light works...

i agree. tons a fuel ?'s lately. i agree with the rest of the crew. throw a fuel pump in it. u may get the bike to run good with gravity feed at lower rpm's but these bikes tend to break up under heavy accel or high rpm when they r gravity fed

You'll have flat spots where the fuel pump should have kicked in to keep the floats full. And I'm afraid the best diagnostic we can give you is:

Go buy a working fuel pump

So many kids call bs on that statement but kuro is 100% on that. The f2 doesnt have a fuel pump, but the f3 does, and trust me, if Honda put it on there, it's needed.

I've run with and without and I am proof that the fuel pump is needed.

Kuro is on the money on that one.

The ram air is why you need a fuel pump. The pump only provides about 3-4 psi,but as Kiro said, the carb bowls will run dry if you don't have one.

Install a fuel pump, look after the points, keep on rollin'.
