Default Need some help - Dash lights F3

I have searched the 'net and this forum for answers and can't find them!

Does anyone know what colour bulbs go in the dash?

Better yet is there a guide on how to replace the bulbs for LEDs?

I'm sure I've seen one somewhere, but can't for the life of me find it.

you can put any color you want, the stock bulbs in there are just regular incandescent bulbs, but when i did mine i matched the colors.

heres what you need to get: T1.5 Instrument Cluster and Gauge | LED Car Bulbs | Super Bright LEDs

as for replacing them, get the front fairings off, and you can either change them with the cluster still on the bike, or you can take the cluster off(which is alot easier). then you just take out the old bulbs and put in the new, they just twist on and off. but make sure you plug in the gauges before you install them, polarity matters with led's, so if ones not working, just turn it around.

Thanks for this, very useful.

Just out of curiosity, how many of each colour did you use as I will have to purchase them from Super Bright LEDS website and have them shipped to the UK as I cant find them anywhere here!

Thanks.

I've been convinced that my turn signals would be green since i read your reply as turn signals in the UK tend to be green.

Just been out to check the bike and they are indeed amber. then i realised that my bike is a US import

Another question (sorry) but do the gauge lights need to be red? All the lines and info on them look to be white without the ignition turned on. Would i get away with say blue?

Thanks again.

in the gauges there is a little 'film' type layer thats red, so with the stock incandescent bulbs it gives it a red back lighting, if you went with a different color it wouldnt look right. but turn on your ignition and be sure of what color it is, dont know if all were the same or not. if it is a different color, then match it with the led color, red = red leds, blue = blue leds, etc
but if you really wanted to you could get whatever colors you want.

I decided that as the LEDs are only a couple $ each I would order enough of each colour and try different combos.

Ill post some pics when I'm done. Might even post a how-to guide.
