Exclamation Dash lights on but no headlight/crank/tail/brake lights?

I need some help diagnosing a problem.... I was riding my bike after letting it sit for a month, I had been on it all day without any problems to speak of, (Rode to and from work and then to a friends house that evening) When I was on my ride home I was riding it for about 10 miles and I got onto the highway. I got it up to about 100mph after merging and maybe one or two miles later it let out a big backfire, I say big because I've never had it backfire once in all the years I've rode it. I didn't think too much of it, but brought it down to about 80mph in response. Another few miles down the road it happend again and this time after it backfired the bike lost power. While still rolling i was able to start it with the clutch engaged, and continue riding, but at this point i was looking to get off the highway. Riding the back roads home it got worse and worse, to the point where the battery was starting to noticiably slow down how fast it was cranking. The end of the line was when I stopped to check the fuses and when I went to turn it back on it wouldnt even crank.

This is where I am now. I have charged the battery up, and its giving a good reading on the multimeter so its definitely charged enough. When I turn the key to "ON" the dash lights turn on and i can use the horn and turn signals, but the headlight, tail light and brake lights do not come on at all(bulbs are fine), also the starter wont even try to crank.

I'm pretty stumped as to what it could be, it seems weird that all the lower power systems work fine, but the higher powerd ones don't work at all. I'm not even sure at this point if it is one or more problems. Any help would be very appreciated.

Take a look at this thread. I think your problem relates to the Engine Stop switch on your right clip-on. Broken solder joints and dirty connections/contacts are a common issue on these bikes.
