Need advice on my CBR600 1998
Hello guys, i'm new here and i'm the owner of a CBR600 F3 1998 Smokin's Joe SE
Since the last week i got a problem with fuel. I need to plug/unplug my fuel pump to be able to start the bike.
Old owner done a crazy job on with custom a noname model fuel pump and cutting the original plug.
If i unplog/plug the fuel pump, i can drive around 2km and the engine cut again. But everything is plugged. I would like to know if i can have a fuel filter problem. How can
I plan to buy a used original fuel pump. I hope this will resolve my problem because i love my bike and don'T want to sell it!
Thanks

Hi , try running a fuel hose direct from the tank to the carbs, by-passing the filter and pump, if you bike runs OK then the problem is either the pump or the filter, (unclip the electrical connector to the pump), if same thing happens have a look at your overflow/breather tubes from the petrol tank
