loud backfire
I recently boughy a 98 f3... Bike ran i got the carbs rebuilt then over winter i didnt start it for like a month, went to start it the other day nd a super loud backfire happened.. Maybe the carbs have to be rebuily again? Please help
Does it do this consistently? Is the bike running now? If we had a little more information, we might be able to offer more assistance.
Gasoline could have leaked down into the cylinders and a mass of vapor got trapped in the exhaust - there's always 2(?) exhaust valves open when a 4-cyl, 16 valve motor is at rest. You go to start it, then "BOOM!"
