loose mirror?
I had the same problem with my bike mirrors. take off your mirrors completly. Remove the set screws completly. Then swivel, move, twist the ball joint around get it nice and loose. this will clear up the metal frays. You shoul be able to put the set screws back in and the mirror should stay put for good now. It workeed for me and took about 10 minutes. Hope that works let me know. good luck!!!!!!!!!
well maybe your problem is different than mine or its to whored out. try goin on ebay i saw some oem mirrors with minor scuffs for like 10 dollars or you can get some brand new for like 40$ plus ship. sorry to here it didn't work for you , i had faith you would fix it. i just bought my f3 the first of april and the guy had the mirrors off because of the mirrors moving at about 30 mph and he also liked the no mirrors look. I rode that thing for a day and said F that. it is too dangerous. Even though I still turn my head back for lane change it is rediculous to have to every 60 seconds for peace of mind.maybe one more go with wd-40 ????? but regardless get replacements ...craigslist.com or ebay.com best of luck to you again bro p.s i am lookin at the carbon mirrors for the same price @ 40$ + ship, I figure if I gonna buy some new ones might as well look cool. and if you cant fix yours and don' want to pay 40 I might consider selling you mine. the only reason I want new ones is cause my mirror rubber boots dont seet properly against the upper plastic cowling around the two bolts like the rubber has shrank from time, but if you replaced your rubber with my mirrors i'm sure it would work.let me know
yea i might be interested in the mirror 4 sure! i think the mirror hinge/swivel thing got messed up when the bike fell over (previous owner) not me. didnt know they had carbon fiber mirrors for these things.

i pernsonally don't dig the mirrors just cause they don't cover both facory bolts just one bolt. it kinda looks like mirrors for another bike that just happened to work on a f3. but the signals are dope. I added the same ones, not carbon, I custom drilled 2 metal plates, cut with wise cutters and mounted them to my liscense plate bracket. then wired them up. they look pretty stealth. the guy before me just had a single brake light that flashed when braking and flashed red when turning, but I wanted to have YELLOW so no one would get confused. if you do get the signals and you are at least 25% mechanically inclined with basic shop tools it will take you a hour and a half to install and wire, but you will be floored at the look. but the question is do you still have the stock rear signals on now, cause that is a whole dirrerent story on time, money labor
