Default Side mirror coming loose

Hey guys my mirrors keep coming loose. Even if i tighten it really tightly, after about 5 minutes of freeway riding, it starts to fold and the screws get loose. Any suggestions? thanks

If you mean that it's folding at the ball pivot, then it's time for a new mirror, imo. Look in e-Bay (cheap). As for the bolts coming loose, you can go with a thin lockwasher. You may also want to make sure you have the correct bolt size. It sounds to me like they're not.

By ball pivot, do you mean where the screws connect with the mirror? Cause thats where the bolts are coming loose. I'm sure the bolt size is correct because this is the first time this is happening.

What's a Loc-tite?

Just put a little drop on the threads & it'll keep them from backing out. Only use the "blue" (medium strength) stuff.

Default Update

The loctite threadlocker worked really well. I bought the red one though. I might have a hard time taking the bolts off later but I haven't had a problem with the bolts coming loose since.

You got red?

Well don't worry about taking them off, unless you have a torch and are ok with melting plastic
