jetting woes

Default jetting woes

I had a friend install a stage one jet kit on my 98 cbr 600 f3. But he didnt realize my bike was a cali model is there a difference in jet kits the one we used said us models but is there a cali model jet kit and is there a difference because now the bike runs very poorly

Yes they make CA model jet kids, however, I am not sure why and not sure if you can get away with what you have.

The CA jet kits I know use smaller ones.

Jet kits still aren't plug n play deals. They require work to tune right. In the long run, unless you are racing, they are never worth it.

i wouldnt go as far as to say.
my jet kit gave me a reason to break down my carbs and learn how my bike worked by trial and error.

if you have patience and love working on bikes, id recommend it for the unique experience.
