Ignition Problem
hello folks, i have a 1997 honda cbr 600 f3 and i recently lost the keys, i ordered a new ignition off of ebay, and when it got here, it was the wrong plug adapter, im wondering if i should cut the wires from the old ignition and splice them in, im just wondering how i should go about reattaching the new ignition, the old ignition has 3 wires and so does the new one, but the new one has a solid black wire, and the old ignition doesnt. the old ignition has, one solid red wire, one solid red with a black line running down it, and a solid blue wire with a line running down it. on the new ignition, it has a solid red wire with a black line running down it, a solid black wire that isnt hooked into the plug, and a solid blue wire with a line running down it. can someone help figure this out? thank you for reading

FIXED! its pretty ez if you poke and hope. the solid red wire on the f3 harness and the red and black wire on the new aftermarket asian ignition is the hot wires, the blue and yellow were the display and fan wires, and the solid black on the ignition and the red and black wires on the f3 were grounds. On the Road Again!

Just a side note, i was originally gonna have a new key cut, but it was gonna cost about 35 dollars, so i got on ebay and found the gas cap, the helmet lock and the ignition, with two keys, the complete set for $29.99. that was with expedited shipping from hong kong and it took 10 days to get here. In my opinion, thats a price that you cant beat. other than the connector glitch all in all it was a great buy, so if your faced with the same dilema i was in, id suggest getting the same kit i did. thanks again for reading, and Happy Ridin!
