Default Idle Adjuster

I'm pretty sure that my idle adjustment has been messed with. My question: is there any way to know that my idle adjustment is in the ball park? As for now, my bike is NOT running and the carbs are out. Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

when you screw it in, there is some small freeplay before it makes contact to open the carbs. twist till it makes contact then about a half turn more until you start to see the carbs move open
