How to fix my mistake?
Howdy gang,
I got the cbr 600 as my first bike about a month ago from a guy who kept it in pristine condition. Until yesterday, I rode the bike just fine with no issues. I've been learning more about the bike since I bought it, and after reading the manual recently, I realized I've been riding the bike at a high idle, at around 3-4k. Reading some more, I saw I can adjust the idle speed with the throttle stop screw next to the fuelcock. So I did that yesterday morning, and maybe I turned it too much because now the bike will only start with full choke, and giving it some throttle, after which, it will only idle at 4k and will stall once I let off the choke.
Could someone explain what I did wrong and why its causing the problem I'm having now?
Thanks!

There's a couple things. If you can, just reverse the **** until you get to 1,200 RPM after it's warm. The other thing is if you turned it too far out, you may have unscrewed it from the base. If that's the case you will need to pull the fairings and whatever else it takes to get to it. Mostly the tank will need to come off too. There's a small spring and washer you will need to find and reinstall. Finding them is a pain. Don't ask me how I know.
But hopefully that isn't your issue.
