Default how do you make sure the back tire is inline with the frount?

So i just got my new chain and sprokets on and I wanted some input on the best way to make sure the tire's are inline. What i did, was use a tape and went from center to center on the axel bolt, then made sure the chain adj. were on the same markers. It seems to be right but i want to be sure thanks

I use a method similar to what is described on another sites pages. I just did a search on the web for Motorcycle Wheel Alignmentand came up with it. It's got photos and easy to follow instructions. In using this method on my bikes, I don't have any unusual wear on the sides of any of my sprockets due to a misaligned rear wheel.
