Thermostat problem?
Hi everyone.
First up, I'm a new member so I'm sorry my first post has to be one asking for help!
I have recently bought a '98 F3 and I have noticed it takes what seems like a very long time for the temperature to come up into the normal operating range.
The outside temperature has been about 5-10C (40-50F). I don't idle for more than 2-3 mins, I prefer to run it gently for the first few miles.
I'm thinking the thermostat might be stuck, but I wanted to check if this was normal before I started fixing something that wasn't even broke!
Thanks in advance,
toast
