+1 on checking how much fuel is in it. if theres no gas, obviously, bike no run. if that doesnt fix it, you've got an electrical problem more than likely.

well thanks so far yeah i tried starting it with the fuel switch in all 3 positions and that was after i pushed it 6 blocks downtown to a gas station. filled it up, the kill switch was giving me issues a week ago, blew it out with compressed air now it works. what about the fuel pump? sorry i'm very new with this bike. and what kind of electrical issues could it be??

I put it on a voltage gage which read full charge...

that was my first instinct.
I am hearing things about the carb but it should still turnover if the carb is faulty no?

Did you actually check the operation of the Engine Stop switch with a meter ? Dirty contacts on the Engine Stop switch are common. It's easy to take it apart and clean the contacts. After years of operation, they tend to get corroded. Blowing out with a compressor isn't going to clean it very effectively. As for the fuel pump, there is a flow test you can perform. Get the shop manual, it has the procedure in it.
