She Started

She Started
Bought the bike (Bubba) in May 2009, pulled her down, treated her to some TLC, some love and a couple of late night massages, (but who hasn't- bloody red wine), had her all together last saturday (24.10.09) so i thought will she start?
Transplanted the battery out of my KLR within about 6 hits of the starter, she came to life.
What a magical moment, and what a sound, oh she is sweet.
Can't wait to wake the neighbors leaving for work in the morning
Couple more jobs and she is done

Very nice KLR, Johnno. I like the green ones, too.
Not quite as fast as the blue ones....but it's all good...
They're real dependable from what I've heard. I only have a couple thousand miles on my '09, but no problems so far. Yours is an '08, right? I'm about to do some carb mods to it, too... shim it, drill it, and play around with the mix.
I put some barkbuster hand guards on (they're an Aus company, aren't they?) and I installed the motech crash bars. The crash bars are a good investment if you ever feel like doing it. Good protection. You can lay her right down on 'em...
