Default Help installing aftermarket clip ons

Just got a set of Pro-Tek clip ons to replace the bent right one. And noticed something funny: they nor any other I've see (Vortex for example) have the wedge that goes into the slot on the triple clamp.

So how do I install them properly / securely? Figure if I just slide them on the forks, there's nothing to get them aligned correctly. Nor getting pushed out of place

I guess that's the down side of getting generic clipons. I'd say just go by how it feels. Maybe take some measurements of the old and duplicate the distances with the new ones.

Ugh... That's not gonna be fun. Will try calling / emailing the manufacturer. They prolly have some trick (or even extra part) to use.

Else somewhere there's a squid with the bars facing forward, guaranteed

Like idodirt said, its basically an eyeball type thing. You're wasting time calling protek.

As far as them moving, they won't as long as you torque the bolts correctly. Thats why they are exactly 41 millimeters in diamater.
