Headlight Modulator

Headlight Modulator
How many of you have been cut off by a driver who seemed to look straight through or past you? It happened to me too many times, so I added a Kisan pathBlazer to my Pacific Coast, and I have now added one to my F3.
If you aren't familiar with a modulator, this easy to install unit causes your headlight to dim and return to full brightness about twice a second. Because it is a digital modulator, it doesn't cause additional electrical draw and since it ins't turning on and off the bulb it doesn't cause any shortage of life. It is totally legal in all states as far as I know, but it is very easy to turn on or off if you are worried about it. It only works when it is A. Daytime, and B. you have your high beams on.
To install, you reach under the front and unplug the 3 pronged headlight plug, plug this 3 prong plug/modulator into the headlight wire, and then into the headlight. Takes only a few minutes. The next task is to figure out where to mount the daylight sensor. On my PC, I drilled a hole in the dash and mounted it there, but with the CBR I found a metal hook on the just above the forks that was keeping wired in place and I bent the folded end of the hook to allow mounting of the dailight sensor. A few zip ties to secure the wiring and it was done.
There is a downside to having a modulator. . . some folks think you might be a cop and pull over allowing you to pass them easily. Oh wait! That is a bonus feature!!
