fuel problems

Default fuel problems

ok here is the problem new plugs new fuel cut off relay new main relay new fuel pump carbs cleaned at dealership put on carbs hooked everything up go to start engine just turns over and over and over gas leaking out the bottom of the bike pulled out spark bone dry pulled off tank pulled off hoses off the air control valve thing and gas poured out of it has anyone had this problem before i really cant afford 55 dollars an hour to pay them right now thanks again

My first thought is that the dealer didn't do a proper job on the carburetors when they cleaned them (gee, imagine that ) and you've got a stuck float. I'd take them back to have them check it out. It's not difficult to take the bowls off to see if the floats stuck, but then you risk them saying you did it.

Also do a quick check that they closed the float bowl drain screws

ok im just at wits end with this bike last summer went on a ride hasnt started since before winter i could roll start it drive it and gets gas get a drink come out hit the button and start right up but if it sat for bout 30 mins back to pushing so tore down the bike in the winter did all that and now this thanks for the help

yeah drain screws are shut the gas is coming out the vent for that little black box off the ram air tube on the left side of bike the tube that connects to the bottom outlet off the air controll valve

Hmm... I'm with IDoDirt then. Take the carbs back to the dealer and ask "WTF?". Sounds like something is blocked in the carbs and the gas is following the path of least resistance, back through the air intake system
