Fuel Leak Info.?
****UPDATE****
It has been over a month since I have installed the New Fuel Pump and Bike is running like a champ. No more fuel leaking.
I have been battling a Fuel Leak for about 2 weeks now. It appears to be the Fuel Pump but I would like to make sure before I purchase that part. Can anyone please help, this is what I have encountered so far:
2 weeks ago I walked out in my Garage to see a stain of Gas where my Kickstand meets the floor. I started looking around and noticed a tiny puddle of gas on the bottom of the "u-shaped" metal piece where the fuel pump is. I pressed the bottom of the round rubber piece that goes around the pump and it got my finger wet with gas. I checked the lines running into the fuel pump and they were dry. I decided to push the rubber piece off of the pump so I knew what I was looking at. There appeared to be a drip coming from the bottom of the pump. I called a buddy who told me to pressurize the system to see if I could definitely see if there was a leak somewhere other than the pump. Started the bike and let it idle for a few minutes and then starting running it a different RPM's to see if I was going to get showered with fuel.....nothing. I removed the pump and began my search online for a new pump. After seeing how much a pump was (I recently purchased the bike) my mind started wandering into the "how does this work" realm. The fuel pump has a "cap" where the intakes are. This cap has tabs on it that look to be tightened down. I noticed that I could spin this with some pressure. I delicately decided to tighten those tabs with a hammer and a socket extension. (Please keep in mind I did not beat the crap out of the thing and did not damage it in any way.) After pusing the tabs down, I could not turn it anymore. Put the pump back on and ran the bike for about 5 minutes. Put it up for the night and rode it after that for 4 days.
Last Friday the same scenario happened, gas stainaround the Kickstand. Same puddle on the metal piece and once again when I pushed the rubber piece around the pump, gas covered my finger. Gas lines were dry again. This time I decided to use some Southern Ingenuity....you let me know if this was not the way to go......I tightened the tabs again and used "JB Weld" around the cap (metal tabbed part) and also on the other end where the plastic cap meets the pump. I let it "cure" for the 24 hours per the "JB Weld" instructions. I once again put the Pump back on and rode it no problems for 2 days. This morning I went out to check it and low and behold another gas stain.
If anyone knows of any trouble shooting tips for this problem or has encountered this problem.....PLEASE help.

I ordered mine as well from RideNow.com... didn't really know where to buy from, and they had everything I wanted including a petcock which was $55, pump was $111. I hope they're OEM Parts. Ordered Sunday, 4-7 days to ship from Monday.
