Fuel leak (Help).
I bought a CBR1000F-T the other day and some weird **** happened today. A mate and I swapped bikes to ride home so he could have a ride on the new aquired CBR1000F-T. When we pulled up the F-T had cut out and wouldn't start. I checked the fueltap and it was in the 'Off' position? He says that he never touched it but we'd ridden about 10mls! On trying to start the bike with the fuel back on fuel was p1ssing out of the tube in the image below. I needed to get home to look after the kids so my mate gave me a lift home. I called the AA and arrange a collection, whilst I waited I stripped it down to see where the leaking pipe went. I lifted the fuel tank and cranked the engine. It started with a splutter, spat out what seemed like some remaining fuel from the pipe indicated and then ran like a Swiss Watch? Got some mates to come by so we could ride the bikes back (I'd gone back there on my other bike).
Any idea's wtf was happening. :dunno:

The following day I rode the bike into work, all fine. Then on the way hope it started to play up like it was running out of fuel. It did this for a mile or so, I checked the fuel tap...Off!!!
Again, this was after at least 10 miles of riding, whats going on?

isnt that just an overfill or pressure release tube, maybe riding it with the fuel turned off messed the pressure and it had to release or when you lifted the tank it dumped some excess fuel thru the line to keep it from spilling out of the tank lid? just an idea.
