the problem: bike stumbles from idle to around 7-8k sounds li k e its flooded, if you idl e the bike up to 3000 rpm it will accel just fine but anywher e under it stutters and stumbles lik e its getting too much fuel...

what we have tried: new plugs, carb cleaned several times making sure the float needle valves worked on each one and that the jets are placed back properly, new rectifiier, new gas, new fuel filters

we took the fuel pump off to take some pressure off the carbs....same thing. not entirely as bad but same crap

what would cause it to flood li ke this?

update in the middle of this...buddy called from home(i am at college)

he said idled at about 1000-1250 it picks up fine until 2500-5000 rpms is a bad spot that sputters

please help

did you run some fishing line or similar through the idle jets??
