first speeding ticket @85 mph on freeway
guys, I rode 120 miles trip from Palm Spring to Garden Grove (OC). Last 5 miles near my exit on the 22 Garden Grove freeway, I was going around 80 to 85. When I exit, a high patrol was behind me. He gave me a ticket for speeding, he asked me at what speed I was going (I told him around 80 to 85 and he wrote 85 on the ticket)and he also said that I was passing every vehicle on the freeway (traffic was light). This is my first ticket, what should I do? Anything would help thank you

Cop it sweet my man, take it easy. All of us exceed the limit a some stage, be it on purpose or inadvertently. Speeding on a freeway is an obvious place to get picked off. I like to let my hair down (whats left of it) occasionaly , but I pick my moments, and if I get caught, I take it on the chin. Just remember, speed does not kill, but it makes it easier.

Tell him he should now, he was the one trying to keep up. haha Na seriously, when you said your speed, you admitted you were speeding, that coupled with his statement saying he was following you in a calibrated police vehicle will convict every time. As others have said, take it on the chin and watch out next time. As i have always been told, when nothing is happening in front of you, look behind. Good luck in the future.

Well yea Traffic school will be helpful but way to go with the ticket, but you know you need to remember that you have a motorcycle that goes 150+ and the highway partol has a car that tops out a 120 so just pass that through your mind... I did and i got out of it quick and i also hit my highest speed ever (165)
