ecu will be fine mate not a thing that goes normally did you get a new battery as weird **** does rear its head if not.

As for removing the back wheel its pretty easy job especially if you have the centre stand fitted. Id give it a go and save yourself a few $. Is it a solid chain or a split link/Soft link do you know?

If you do get stuck you can always post and we will sort you out.

Above is a good place for info.

you also have the link to the maintenance manual so just read up before you start. You will kick yourself once you start at how easy it is to do mate. :-)

Thanks again mate!

I do have the center-stand fitted and the chain is the one where the master link is 'rivitted' ( if that's the right word ). So I figured it's not possible for me to take the chain off since I don't have the master link tool.

But then again, if I just replace the spacer I might not need to take the chain apart at all, right? I can just take of my rear-brake caliper, loosen the rear-axle nuts and take out the axle. If the wheel then drops ( with the chain still on ) i should be able to replace the chain tensioners and put everything back together without even taking the chain of. Or am I missing something ?

These bad boys arrived today
Chain tensioner spacers

That's pretty much the size of it.

Wheels & tires get changed often in racing. If you had to break & replace the chain every time, there isn't a racer on the planet who'd want that bike.

Soft rivet link mate ........ ive popped a few off with a screw driver and re used!....... not recommending that though.

get a new chain for it mate with a soft link or a split link ....... and use a grinder to cut the old chain off. as I said have a go mate.
